TNT History

History of TNT

In 1989/1990, the towns of Alliston, Beeton, Tecumseth and Tottenham became amalgamated to form the Town of New Tecumseth, located in central Ontario, Canada.

Alliston Minor Hockey and Tottenham District Minor Hockey associations amalgamated to form what is now known as the New Tecumseth Minor Hockey Association (TNT Tornados). 1996/1997 marked our inaugural season with a registration base of 593 players. Now in our 13th season, we register approximately 700 players and are in the “AA” division of the York Simcoe League of the OMHA.

TNT fully supports and promotes every aspect of development for all players within our organization. Our center has Major, Minor Rep, and Major, Minor Additional Entry Rep, Local League hockey for Bantam and Midget, House league for Tyke, Novice, Atom and Peewee, and the Initiation Program at the Mites level. TNT has continued to expand our programming .

The success of our amalgamation is reflected in the many accomplishments TNT has enjoyed over the past 13 years. These successes could not have been realized without the commitment and dedication of a solid volunteer base and the generosity of the sponsors in our community. Their enthusiasm and support of our many programs knows no bounds!

We look forward to the continued growth and development of our organization as we continue to serve the youth of our community.
